Mission

The National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS), in collaboration with the National Center for Research Resources (NCRR) supports a Specialized Neuroscience Research Programs (SNRP) at Minority Institutions Awards. The purpose of this Award is to augment and strengthen the research capabilities of faculty, students, and fellows at minority institutions by supporting the development of new, and/or the enhancement of ongoing, basic  neuroscience research projects and programs.  As of September 1st 2006, the Program at Hunter College of CUNY is starting its second cycle (SNRP 2).
