is Offering

WORKSHOPS IN BIOTECHNOLOGY
JULY 2003

A GREAT OPPORTUNITY TO:

  • Earn Credits to Maintain Certification.

  • Receive Invaluable Laboratory Experience to Bring Back to the High School Classroom.

WORKSHOPS INCLUDE:

  • 4 Credit Laboratory Course in a 4 Week Program; 32 hours/week.

  • Faculty Member and Experienced High School Teacher to help develop lesson plans and integrate workshop technologies into the High School Laboratory.

  • No tuition.

  • $2,000 stipend OR 4 Graduate Credits (Must receive at least a grade B in course)

UPON SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF WORKSHOP:

  • Receive $2000 in equipment and supplies for your High School in the first year plus $500 in supplies for two successive years, providing three years total support to integrate the workshop experience into your High School Laboratory.

  • Participate in two Science Fridays during the academic year with your students:

    1. A Friday at the American Museum of Natural History under the guidance of Museum Science Educators.

    2. A Friday at Hunter College including a tour of the campus and the Department of Biological Sciences.
