WORKSHOPS IN BIOTECHNOLOGY JULY 2003
A GREAT OPPORTUNITY TO:
Earn Credits to Maintain Certification.
Receive Invaluable Laboratory Experience to Bring
Back to the High School Classroom.
WORKSHOPS INCLUDE:
4 Credit Laboratory Course in
a 4 Week Program; 32 hours/week.
Faculty Member and Experienced
High School Teacher to help develop lesson plans and
integrate workshop technologies into the High School
Laboratory.
No tuition.
$2,000 stipend OR 4 Graduate
Credits (Must receive at least a grade B in course)
UPON SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF WORKSHOP:
Receive $2000 in equipment and supplies for your High
School in the first year plus $500 in supplies for two
successive years, providing three years total support
to integrate the workshop experience into your High
School Laboratory.
Participate in two Science Fridays
during the academic year with your students:
A Friday at the American Museum of Natural History
under the guidance of Museum Science Educators.
A Friday at Hunter College
including a tour of the campus and the Department
of Biological Sciences.
